First, when talking about building a home scrapbooking room, chances are you don't really mean building a new room on your house. This is a lot of expense and trouble to go through just for a hobby. Although if those are your plans, there is nothing wrong with that! If you are in the construction industry or can afford to hire someone to do this renovation for you, then who are we to stop you? But most of us, when you think of building a home scrapbooking room you really mean converting and redecorating a room you already have, such as an empty bedroom or den, or even a corner of the basement.
Christine Perry - Using Heritage Recipes And Scrapbooking
By :
Christine Perry
One of the reasons you might consider heritage recipes and scrapbooking together is that heritage recipes are usually handwritten. Unless you have saved letters or other personal items from your grandmother and great-grandmother, you may not have anything else in her handwriting. These pieces of her past are probably very important to you now, as you can really picture her as you glance over them. Handwriting is very personal and even personality can show through in a handwritten page. Heritage recipes and scrapbooking pages that you save them on can also be passed on from generation to generation.

As a small to medium sized investor you want to get value for money, buying the work of the more recognized artists can cost you an arm and a leg and then you may have to wait years for your investment to increase in value. I’m not saying “ignore the established artists”, but when considering the purchase of a piece of art or artifacts as an investment why not include a couple of the works of the lesser, or even unknown artists, you can acquire their work for a very reasonable price and they may increase in value dramatically in a very short period of time.

Jason Tye - The Black Onyx Appeal
By :
Jason Tye
Most onyxes come striped and layered the way opals are, but sometimes they appear as perfect black stones – and these are the most famous ones. The dark hue has led them to be associated to the male gender. In fact, in Ancient Rome, they were worn as ornaments that were carved into the images of gods and soldiers often wore these items when they went off to war. The carved onyxes were worn as pendants on necklaces and on rings; some were even used as adornments for breastplates and shields. Because the onyx was a dark stone, it didn’t gain across the board popularity the way amber did.

Many of the early self-portraits look like the great self-portraits that were carried out by the Rembrandt van Rijn in 1600's. The comparison between two elicits numerous points of similarity, like the serious manner, elegant as well as dramatic lighting plus a certain similarity in the visage itself. These are the portraits of the two master Dutch artists from very much different times, but the viewer making in such comparisons tends to sense that the two would have almost certainly been the great friends.
